My story

　　Nessa is in desperate need of a forever home! She was adopted a year ago from All Aboard. Unfortunately, her owners are relocating and can't take Nessa with. We are trying to help them find a home for Nessa before they move on January 9th!! Hi, I’m Nessa. I’m around 3 years old and I love to run and play.

　　I also love to cuddle.

　　Since I have short hair, my favorite place to sleep in the winter is under the covers with you.

　　I like to sit in the kitchen and watch you cook and I like to lay on the couch with you when you watch tv or read a book.

　　Sometimes I think I’m a lap dog and forget that I’m 45 pounds of muscle!

　　I get very excited when new people come to the house and like to give hugs and kisses.

　　When I find people I like, I am very protective. From her past owner: When we adopted Nessa, we were told that she got along well with other dogs and that she had come from a foster home with 4 other dogs.

　　However, from the first day that we had her, when my son and I would take her outside, she would bark and immediately get defensive if other dogs came by or if younger kids approached her.

　　As a result of that, we only take her to the dog park if she is the only dog there and have avoided having her around other dogs. She is very loving, but also very protective.

　　She would do best in a home with no other pets or with a new owner who has the time to train her or re-socialize her to other dogs.

　　While Nessa has stayed healthy, she does have a lot of energy and I feel that she would thrive in a home with a backyard where she could run and play.

　　When we first got Nessa 2 years ago, we tried crate training her and she would whine and bark and actually broke out of the crate.

　　We quickly found that she does best when allowed to just hang out in the living room when I’m at work.

　　She likes to be able to see out of the windows (so keep the blinds pulled up at least a few inches).Interested in this pup? The first step is to fill out the adoption application on our website!
