My story

　　08/26/21 This handsome boy is Courage. Courage came in as a stray and his previous owners were not able to redeem him. Courage should always be on a leash or in a secure fenced in yard when outdoors as he has a history of running and should not be trusted to come when called or return home. He has a lot of energy and loves to go go go! Courage needs an active home that can take him on lots of adventures and keep him properly restrained! Courage has taken a liking to chewing up blankets here at the shelter if given the opportunity (possibly out of boredom), so please use caution when kenneling him or when leaving him alone to make sure he cannot chew up or ingest anything that might be valuable/harmful. He has done wonderful at keeping his kennel accident free! While Courage has been nothing but friendly to our animal tenders here at the shelter, he has not always done well with children, based on our limited information, so we are requiring that he go to a home without children under 5 years. We do not know how Courage does with other animals such as dogs, cats, pocket pets, or livestock. He seems playful and friendly towards the dogs in the runs near him. Alaskan huskies do tend to have a high prey drive so if you have smaller critters around please be very cautious. If choosing to introduce Courage to other pets please do so in a safe and controlled environment! Courage is looking for his new forever person who can give him plenty of mental and physical stimulation!
