CO/Rocky (Bonded to Sadie)'s story
Meet Rocky & Sadie. We are a bonded pair of 5-7 year Brittany/Pointer mixes and must be adopted together. We were surrendered to a very high kill shelter and NBRAN came in and saved our lives.
We are friendly to new people and get along well with our foster brother and sister. We are housebroken and use the doggy door at our foster home when our family is home. We spent most of our time outdoors in our previous life, so we are learning to love the awesome indoor life. Once we learn to trust you, we are total Velcro dogs and want nothing more than to spend time with our people.
We are mellow by Brittany/Pointer/sporting dog standards. When were not helping our foster brother and sister patrol the yard for birds and squirrels, we can usually be found cuddled next to our people on the couch. While we do enjoy playing with the toys or a tennis ball occasionally, our favorite pastime is getting love and affection from our people.
We know the basic commands sit, stay and off and are very food motivated so additional training should be no problem. We do well on leash but could use some additional work. We are both very strong, so we need a strong owner/handler. We dont live with children today, but we think we would do fine with older, respectful children. Wont you open your heart and give us a 2nd chance?
Rocky and Sadie MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER! They are highly bonded and will curl up with each other and rest their heads on one another.
They are healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed/neutered, and micro chipped. Their adoption fee will be $275 per dog or $550 combined to offset their vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.
Only 1 application is necessary for both dogs. Please complete the on-line application by visiting They are eligible for our canine railroad. They can be transported up to 1400 miles from Colorado with the last leg being driving by the adopter.
Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.
