Copper 30337's story
Copper is a 3-year-old male Treeing Walker Coonhound who must be neutered before he is adopted. He was brought to PAHS as a stray and we were shocked when his owners did not come looking for him. Copper is tricolor (brown, white, and black) and he is a stunning fellow who knows how to pose for pictures like a show dog! He weighs 53 pounds so he is considered to be a medium sized dog. Copper is friendly and quite active. He would need to be in a home with a family that would make sure he gets plenty of exercise. Copper would be fine in a home with older children; his playful antics might be too much for a small child. He does NOT do well with other dogs so he would need to be the only dog in his new family. Copper has a very distinctive and loud bay so he would probably not be a good choice to live with a family in a neighborhood. He would do best in a new home with some acreage so as not to disturb his neighbors. Copper is an absolutely incredible looking dog who needs to find just the right home so he will be happy in a forever home.
