My story
This handsome hound is Cooper! Cooper came to us from another shelter, so we don't know much about his past. We think Cooper was kept outdoors most of the time, so his forever family will need to show him lots of patience and support as he adjusts to inside life. Cooper has been nothing but sweet since arriving. He loves curling up for a good nap and always greets visitors with excited tail wags. Because we do not have any history on Cooper, we are requiring he go to a home with no children under 6 years of age. Recently, Cooper did go home for a short time but was brought back to us because he was getting out of his kennel and being a little destructive in the home when left alone. Even though this is typical hound behavior, there are ways to manage it, so please don't be scared away from this sweet guy. We will be more than happy to provide you with a secure kennel he could not escape from and give you all the best tips to keep him on his best behavior. We do recommend he goes to a home with a big yard, so he can get his energy out, and receive plenty of enrichment while inside. If you have any questions about Cooper, please see a kennel technician.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cooper, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
