Cookie's story

　　The sweetest chunk of dough, this Cookie!

　　Mama Cookie is a 1 year old female Lab mix who was found walking with some school kids as a stray. Our TJ rescueing super-girl scooped her right up to bring her to us. While bathing her, she discovered that Cookie had tiny chocolate chips inside of her! Soon, she gave birth to 3 adorable puppies and in a week they will be completely weaned off! Finally Mama is getting some 'me' time of her own and loving it! She is picking up bathroom and leash training wonderfully and will be spayed as soon as she's ready.

　　Cookie is such a happy-go-lucky girl who just craves love and attention. She loves to play but is also calm and sweet. She will be such a delight at dog parks. She is simply happy and grateful to be in warmth and not on the streets anymore. Putting her head in her people's laps is her favorite thing to do! Right after eating! Because of her past as a stray, she takes her food seriously and runs to gobble it up! She is learning to control food aggression, now that she knows it's always going to be there. She is very friendly with other dogs and is learning that everyone should receive love and not just her! She has become gentler and friendlier since the puppies weaned off. She wont be a great match for cats. She does love kids, as long as they are sturdy enough to not get knocked down if in way of treats! She is actually really sweet and gentle with them! Mama instincts!

　　Cookie will sweeten up any home that she goes to! She will be such a perfect companion and ever loving! She will love to be the only dog, but will be happy to have a companion as well. A little bit of patience to train her for a house life will be perfect! Her adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying, shots and microchip.
