My story

　　The purrfect companions!

　　Hi friends, I'm  Contessa, and I'm searching high and low for my furever home!  I was with sissy Hanna and sadly, our owner passed away, and we were released into a neighborhood about ten months ago.  This entire experience has caused a lot of heartache for us, so we’re looking forward to getting back to a life of love, stability, and trust. 

　　I’m a 5-year-and-9-months-old Domestic Short Hair female (I’m the one with the white chest with brown legs), weighing in at 10 pounds.  I’ve been spayed already, as well, and my health is A-OK.  I’m a little more shy than Hanna, and I like to spend my days sleeping in quiet spaces throughout the house.  It can take some time for me to come out of my shell, but I’m working through my trust issues that developed from my recent past.  With enough time and space, though, I have no doubt that my true self will come out and shine!

　　Our ideal household would be one who is patient and one who will give us unconditional love! We’ve never spent much time around other doggies before, so we’re not sure if we’d be friends or not.  Kiddos, on the other hand, are a good match, as long as they are older and respectful of our boundaries (i.e. teenagers).  We don’t necessarily have to be kept together and could be fine on our own, as long as we are given some tasty grub, a comfy cat bed, and provided with pets (and love) on our own terms.
