Conn 48H Trombone, Excellent Condition, 1960 SN 873582. This is a very clean horn from the Elkhart era. Has 8" Bell and .500 bore gold brass handslide with nickel silver end crook, yellow brass tuning slide. Has original case, paperwork, music lyre, original mouthpiece. It certainly is a collectible, but really it is a fantastic playing .500 bore- would be a shame to just have it and not play on it. This is definitely a pro player level Jazz-Commercial small bore. This model plays very similar to a 6H, but has less high frequency in the sound. They really do not play brighter than a straight yellow brass horn. I think think they play a little bit darker. Regardless of my opinion, this is an amazing 48H that would be a fantastic choice for anyone looking to play a .500 bore with 8" bell. No service needed to improve playability. Has a fantastic slide. No plating loss on inner tubes. No signs of previous damage or repair. It is all original. Overall Excellent condition with no dents or dings.... does have some minor surface scratching in the lacquer.
