  My story

Please go to our website at  to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Looking for a good boy that loves kids and all dogs?!  Meet Newton!  Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Health Notes | HW+ MHLM pays for treatment Other Dogs | I love other dogs! I am in a foster home with other dogs and enjoy playing and cuddling with them. I do not play rough and learn queues from my furry siblings quickly.  I enjoy playing tug of war with my foster brother pup.  Sometimes I am shy when I see other dogs on walks, but once I realize they are nice, I am fine with them.  I also like to be close to the other pups in the house, we are a pack. Cats | I have not met a cat yet. Slow introductions to ensure a smooth transition are recommended. Children | Kids are fun! I am easily excited and kind of a big guy, so I will need extra supervision around the little kids to avoid knocking them over.  I am currently with a teenage boy, and we play, wrestle, and cuddle.Training | I am learning so much from my foster mom! I have learned to sit, lay down and go into my crate. I am a good listener when given firm commands. I need an adopter that is willing to continue my training to make sure I am always a good boy!Leash | I love walking on the leash and seeing what's happening in the neighborhood! I don't pull too much on the leash, but am learning to walk in a straight line vs. zig zag.  I love to be out, but then take a good nap because I am tired.  I went on a hike this past weekend and loved it!Activity Level | I'm a happy, playful and fun labrador. I love to run, play with toys and explore. Meeting new people is really exciting so watch out for my big tail and jumping.  I also love to play with my furry siblings, and enjoy do zoomies around the yard.  I listen to firm corrections, though!  I am also great at night, my foster mom tell me to go to bed and I cuddle up on my dog bed and stay there all night.Personality | I think I am pretty great! I love people and dogs. Sometimes I am shy when I meet other dogs, but once I realize they are nice, I am interested in meeting them.  I play gently with my foster sister in the backyard, and like being part of a pack..I am so thankful to be rescued and can't wait to find my forever family. I will be your best friend!Story | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $500 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. July 12, 2022, 4:02 pm
