Collie - Billy - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog
This is a courtesy post for one of M.A.I.N's wonderful supporters helping to find a very special dog a home: "Hi ladies and gents! My name is Billy, an adorable special needs dog looking for an equally special foster or fur-ever home! Not too long ago, some very nice people rescued me from a really bad situation. I was found chained up outside, unable to use my hind legs. The vets think I had some sort of bacterial infection that went untreated, causing my spinal fusion and paralysis. I don't let my disability slow me down though- I scoot around on my own or I have a special cart that I use (that will come with me to my new home). I'm just happy to be alive and it shows! I'm very interested in the other animals at the hospital where I'm being boarded and I LOVE to be near people. Everyone keeps telling me I'm "so cute and sweet." I don't know what that means, because I'm just being ME! Despite my disability, I have full control of my bowel/bladder. I am currently on medication for Tick Fever and a steroid for my spinal fusion. I am approximately five to seven years old, will be neutered before I leave the hospital and up to date on shots. I have lots of friends here at the animal hospital, but what I really need is a family to call my own! If interested in fostering or adopting me, please contact Palm Glen at . Looking forward to meeting you!"
