COINS - Eisenhower One Dollar Coin (#58) $5.00
ATTENTION COLLECTORS!!!!
Limited number left...
This is an Eisenhower One Dollar coin. The front of the coin shows President Dwight D. Eisenhower (our 34th President) while the reverse honors the landing of man on the moon (July 16, 1969).
This short-lived coin was only made for 8 years, from 1971 to 1978. Even though they were only made for 8 years the US mint managed to make quite a variety of these coins. Its large size (38.1 mm in diameter, the same as previous silver dollar issues) was determined to be a major factor resulting in the general public not using it in circulating.
I have listed the series available and indicated the price for the different flavors of the coin.
