We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt // // Shamus is a gorgeous, male purebred Cocker Spaniel and 100% lovebug! He's approximately 8-9 yrs old and weighs 33 lbs. Hes got an ultra-sweet personality and always wants to be by your side. Shamus aka Buddy is completely blind, he lost the sight in one eye as a young puppy due to injury. He lost the sight in the remaining eye due to glaucomma about 2 years ago and had to have it removed. To watch him running around the house you would never know he was blind. He quickly learns his way around whenever he enters a new environment. He is an indoor dog, and fully house trained. When he lost his sight he became afraid of riding in cars, so he's not good with long trips. While he used to love dog park, he became very fearful of other dogs when he lost his sight, although some training may help with that. He's a little over weight as he doesn't get the long walks and exercise at dog park anymore, he prefers to be in our laps getting and giving love. His adoption fee is $100. All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information. All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog.
