All cats with PUP are in private foster homes or being cared for at Petsmart. We provide our
potential adopters the most current information available. We prefer to place our kitties in homes with another kitty or a cat friendly dog.
Health: Cleo has been spayed and microchipped. She is current on her vaccines and tested negative for Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). She has been wormed and flea treated.
History: Cleo comes from an overcrowded shelter in California. PUP was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs and cats PUP pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state.
Notes: Cleo is a wonderful, fun, gorgeous cat. Shes high-energy and always--and we mean always--wants to play, especially with her mouse toy. Shes settled down nicely in her foster home, mostly ignoring or scampering away from the dog and easily becoming part of her foster family.
She has a kittens tendency to bat and nip at thingsincluding fingers and toesbut her foster mom is working with her on the idea that fingers arent for biting, and shes getting better on that. Shes very affectionate, allowing herself to be picked up and cuddled. She accepts petting with grateful purrs and head-bonks and has shown no aggression or grumpiness at all. Shes a good girl about using a clean, full litter box.
Cleo will bring joy to a family that has time to play and love her, and she might do better with older kids who know when to back off when a cat is overstimulated. Her high energy level should be noted. We dont know how she is with other cats.
Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the cat's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our cats, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.
