A truly rare beauty.  This was the top of the line For S Yairi guitar. S Yairi always was a small shop operation focusing on high quality materials and craftmanship at the sacrifice of volume and profits which probably explains why he went bankrupt.  The guitar has the rare Japanese equivalent of Canadian Spruce -- Ezo Spruce. See the last picture in listing.  There is a small crack on the bottom board that had been repaired by a luthier with two cleats.  Great condition with only a few minor dings. Guitar will be 50 years old in 2026.
