My story

　　Clancy is a sweet but cautious boy who forms strong bonds with his adult humans. It can take a little time for him to open up, but once you're "in" with him, he will give you his whole heart. While he was shy and reserved for his first week or two at the shelter, Clancy now dances with delight when he sees any member of our staff and may of our volunteers. He solicits pets and play readily, and clearly has so much love and joy to bring to the right home. Due to his more cautious nature, we believe Clancy would do best in a household without young kiddos. Clancy is a big beautiful dog with light tan fur and adorable white accents. He has the awesomest in between up-and-down ears that bounce happily as he walks. His smile literally goes from ear to ear. He enjoys playing with balls and toys, and playing fetch or tug. Clancy loves to walk, sniff and explore nature. While Clancy can bounce around and do zoomies with the best of them, his hyperactive puppy days are behind him, so he also thoroughly enjoys nesting in a comfy dog bed and napping for hours at a time. Interactive food toys, and peanut butter-stuffed Kongs also keep Clancy happy and mellow, and conveniently satisfy his enrichment needs. He is very polite interacting with other dogs, and while he does not care to play with other dogs, he is skilled at peacefully coexisting with them. Clancy would love a forever home where he could continue to expand his basic obedience training. He responds well to positive reinforcement, and one of his favorite reinforcers is cheese!
