Cindy's story
Cindy: 2 year old, red, spayed female, natural ears & docked tail, 11" 9 lbs. Shots up-to-date, micro-chipped. Rescued from shelter.
Cindy was surrendered to the shelter by a backyard breeder with several of her other min pins which were diagnosed as heart worm positive. Cindy has gone through the lengthy heart worm treatment and now has a clean bill of health.
Since she has lived with me and my pack I have gotten to know Cindy very well, and have come to love her as my own. When she first came to live in my home she was extremely timid. She was hand shy, was fearful at meal time and would bolt outside the dog door. Cindy has gotten over that and now sits and waits for her bowl to be placed in front of her. Another part of her timid reactions were to sudden movements and loud noises. She is still that way, and I am working with her to adjust to both. Trust is our motto. Cindy would do best with a human with a gentle touch and calm words to continue her on her way to trusting that humans truly are her friends.
Cindy is still a very young girl and loves to chew, so having bully sticks and chew toys are something I keep around for her. She is potty trained to use a dog door, will sleep quietly in a crate close to her humans, but prefers to sleep under the covers on the bed. She loves to sun herself during the day time, so having a dog door for her use would be most beneficial for everyone. Cindy likes to burrow under blankets in the evenings, and cuddle with other dogs or her humans. She walks nicely on a leash, is not a barker or a digger. Cindy is a wonderful girl in every way, and she is beautiful to look at as well.
I think that Cindy would do best in a home with another mellow small dog as she has never lived in a single dog home, I believe she would thrive with having a companion and a human both.
