My story
Chris and his brother, Arturo, were rescued from an alley behind a Chicago firehouse late at night on April 13th. One of the firefighters who picked them up is a friend of our founder, and he reached out to her to ask if she would be able to pick them up and take them into the rescue. So at around midnight that day, the boys became a part of the One Goal Animal Foundation family. They were only about four months old at the time, very malnourished, and Arturo had a big gash on his back. Both are now in great shape and ready to find their own families. They were named after the two firefighters who saved them.Chris is a super outgoing and friendly kitten. He loves anyone he meets, which includes other cats and dogs. He is a bit on a clingy side and will follow his human(s) around everywhere. Chris is a gentle boy, using his paws without ever showing his claws, and would make a great addition to a home with young children. He doesn't really like to be picked up though, but is getting better with accepting it. Chris has the cutest wobble in his back while walking. We believe he has a very mild case of CH (cerebellar hypoplasia), which is a congenital condition in cats that is neither contagious nor progressive. Besides him being a little off balance, and having trouble lending on all four feet when jumping down from a higher elevation, it does not cause him any other problems.Chris is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated with all required vaccines. He is FIV/FELV negative, and has been dewormed multiple times. You can meet him at our cat lounge located at 11310 W Southwest Highway in Orland Park (on Southwest Highway just west of Wolf Road) during our open hours.
