My story
Choo Choo has an unusual rescue story that was shared by some news outlets back in August. As a four-month-old kitten, he, and his brother, somehow ended up in a train container that travelled from a Walmart distribution center in Georgia to a Sam's Club in Illinois. They were discovered once the container was opened at the final destination, after a five day journey on a train, and a trip by truck from the train depot to Sam's Club. When the load was refused by the store, the container was brought back to the trucking company where two employees ended up purchasing a trap and trapping them. Both boys were completely feral, and we have spent the last four months working with them on socialization.Choo Choo has made amazing progress, and while he is still a bit timid when meeting new people, we feel that he is ready to continue working on his confidence and social skills in a home. He would definitely benefit from having a friendly and confident cat around to help him with the transition. Choo Choo is a chill and gentle boy who gets along great with cats and kittens of all ages. He is a magnificent looking cat with the softest coat and a fluffy tail. Choo Choo was recently neutered, vaccinated with all required vaccines, microchipped, and he tested negative for FIV/FeLV. His adoption fee is $135. Choo Choo is currently staying in our cat lounge located at 11310 W Southwest Highway, Orland Park.If you would like to meet this stowaway, please stop by the cat lounge during our open hours.
