Chocolate Labrador Retriever - Summer - Large - Young - Female

　　SUMMER is an approximately 3 year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever rescue from the Summerdale hoarding situation in Jan 2012. SUMMER has undergone an amazing transformation since her arrival at ARF. She was extremely timid, so much so that one of our volunteers couldn?t get her to eat the day after she arrived. She finally crawled in the kennel with SUMMER and she ate her dinner piece-by-piece from her hand. SUMMER has gained weight and is looking healthy again. The difference in her temperament is incredible! Now SUMMER immediately lights up whenever a human enters the room and her tail wags nonstop! SUMMER is a total sweetie and does very well in the car. On a ride to the park, she curled right up on the seat and enjoyed the ride. She loves ear rubs and treat-filled Kongs. Her love of humans despite her past situation is testament to her loyalty. She gets along well with most dogs and likes to play. She is house trained and does well in the home. Summer would also be good with kids. SUMMER will make a wonderful and loving companion!
