China's story
CHINA is in need of a LONG-TERM (approximately 7-9 months) foster who can care for her while she grows up. She will need surgery on her hips to correct damage to them that occurred before we got her. The rescue pays for all medical. Foster needed within driving distance of Bowie, MD to be able to attend vet appointments.
China is a tiny 2 1/2 pound baby (breed mix is UNKNOWN at this time, and min-pin is ONLY a guess based on coloring and current weight/size; WE DO NOT GUARANTEE BREED MIX), found tossed out in the cold like garbage to fend for herself at just 3 weeks old. Both hips are injured and she will need surgery to correct this injury when she is about 6 months old. We are unable to adopt her out until after her surgery, so we are seeking a long-term foster home for her in the DC/MD/VA area who can be home with her most of the time, socialize her, work on beginning training and housebreaking, and transport her to her vet appointments. This little baby was dumped and needs to be shown the world is not all bad. She needs love, care, and a soft bed to sleep in where she feels safe while she recovers from her injuries. Rescue pays for all medical until adopted.
CHINA IS NOT FOR ADOPTION AT THIS TIME, but we are open to the possibility of a foster-to-adopt home.
