　　This tiny tot is Twinkie, a two and a half year old female Chihuahua mix. She has a smooth black and white coat and is small, weighing only 11 pounds and this is full grown.

　　Twinkie was pulled from our local animal shelter where she had been adopted out several months ago but returned. The first time around she had been down there almost two months so we hated to see her have to go through that again. She was brought back there due to behavior problems. As with a lot of Chihuahuas, they get nervous and can be snippy. Apparently one of the owners didn't like her showing her "Chihuahua attitude!"

　　Twinkie is a very sweet, loving dog. She craves attention and just wants to be in your lap. She would do better in a calmer household with no children to only older (16 and up) children. Twinkie would do fine in an apartment with nice daily walks. She is not high energy. Twinkie should be ok with other dogs, we don't know about cats. We are working on her crate training but she seems to be housetrained. She does need to be an inside dog.

　　Twinkie is up to date on her vet care, spayed and is heartworm negative. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Twinkie needs someone who will love and appreciate her for who she is, quirks and all!
