Chihuahua - Roy - Small - Senior - Male - Dog

　　Hi there! My name is Roy and I am about 15 years old. I am micro chipped and up to date on all shots. They call me a Chihuahua mix and I weigh about 12 lbs. I really don?t know where I came from, but I ended up at the Pima Animal Care Center as a stray. Since I came to my foster home, I have recovered from a pretty rotten case of kennel cough, but I am doing pretty well now. I do a lot of grunting and groaning, but that?s just because I like to make noises so you know I am around. The vet said my lungs and heart sound good and I am just an old man. I was never neutered as a young man and my Doctor and foster mom felt it was unnecessary to risk going under anesthesia to do that now. I do like to eat regular dog food and I take joint supplements, but really am pretty active and playful for my age. I use a dog door to go outside. I also get some energy every now and then and play with the younger dogs here at my foster home. I?m not really thrilled about walking on a leash or meeting new people, but I will if I have to. I prefer to take it easy and relax, except when I play on occasion as I said before. I get along well with all the other dogs here and I really love my foster mom, but I know I will love anyone willing to adopt me and spend some time getting to know me. My mom said she probably would like me to go to a home without small children because I am kind of old and they may scare me. I love to be scratched on my back and talked to. I also will follow you around and ask you to let me sit by you or be perfectly happy sitting at your feet on a nice dog blanket. I?m quiet, but will bark if I hear someone at the door.
