Chihuahua - Penelope - Small - Young - Female - Dog
Email this dog's profile or Share on Facebook! Please go to our website to complete an application. We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt // // Penelope (Penny to her friends) is a 3 year old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, and weighs about 7.0 lbs. She likes to go on walks, loves to play with toys and fetch, loves her chew sticks and balls, and will be a great dog for someone who wants an active and energetic wiggle-from-head-to-tail furball. She is not a fussy eater, is house trained and pee pad trained. Penelope is definitely channeling her dachshund side in personality and behavior, but is a dog that can get up on the bed and furniture without help. She is a world class heat-seeking dog and is found in the warmest spot during the day, and curled up at your neck, lap or back at night. Penny is looking for an adopter who will keep her enthusiasm within bounds. She is fostered with 2 other small dogs (both male) that she dances circles around. She would do best with another small dog that wants to chase her and share toys, and help use up some of that boundless energy. Penelope's adoption fee is $175.00 - she is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information. All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home. Thank you for visiting our dogs located at
