Mijo (aka Mini Jo) is a VERY sweet little (4lbs) 5-6 year old male Chihuahua with plenty of life to live. He loves to cuddle on your lap as he only weighs 4lbs, so he isn?t much of a burden! Loves sleeping on a heating blanket, great with other dogs (has two small dogs as his brother/sister?s), rarely barks, and walks great on a leash. Though being so small it?s quite easy to just pick him up and hold him as you walk or fits perfectly in a pocket! He is a joy in your home as he will cuddle with you under the covers at night?but doesn?t take up much room on the bed. He will be your little shadow?prefers to keep you in his sights as he just wants to be around you! Mijo would be fabulous as the dog that sits in your office on a bed while you work or while you are at home. Not causing any mischief as he is a perfect angel. Walks don?t need to be a long distance as his stride is small but he enjoys them! He has a bad life in the earlier years and would love someone to bond with for his second chance in life. Please forgive the photos as he is a bit of snuggler and doesn?t ?pose? for photos?much rather just cuddle then show off how gorgeous he is. So MUCH cuter in person and will steal your heart. He would be great in a mellow home, being so small older children would be highly suggested but would be fabulous in a low maintenance snuggle world! Give him a chance and he will return love in full force. His adoption fee is $175. Please fill out an application if you would like to meet him.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
