Check out Louie, a little three year old male Chihuahua mix. Louie is tiny, weighing only 5.3 pounds! He has an interesting tan coat with black and white markings, not your typical Chi coat so we think he is a mix. Louie was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been part of a pack of 14 dogs that were surrendered by the owner due to cruelty/neglect charges. He had been down there over a month so he needed to get out. Louie is a bit shy and submissive but full of love. He craves attention and wants to be with you. Yep, a classic lap dog! Louie would do better in a calm, low stress environment. And he is ok with some dogs, just not hyper dogs. He would be fine in an apartment as long as he got daily walks. He must be an inside dog and leashed or in a fenced in yard if outside. Louie should be fine with children as long as 12 and older due to his small size. We have started him on his crate training. Louie is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and is microchipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. This sweet little dog needs a safe and secure home where he will be loved for the rest of his life. Our adoption fee is $75.
