Chihuahua - Leonard - Small - Young - Male - Dog

　　Leonard is a 1 yr. old neutered male Chihuahua mix. He is about 15 lbs. and full of playful energy. He absolutely loves playing with his buddies in his foster home, although can be a little dominant and over-bearing for some of the submissive dogs in the house. Leonard was a stray that ended up at PACC with a broken rear leg. We rescued him and found that the break was in the process of healing, so we let him continue his healing and rehab in his foster home. He has healed well and has a very slight limp that is hardly noticeable. He is very strong and healthy and playful. He does know how to sit for a treat and is working on other obedience commands. He pulls on the leash when we first start out walking, but then calms down and walks well once we get going. Leonard is house trained with a doggy door, not sure how he does without a doggy door. When he gets tired and it?s time to relax, he loves to cuddle up next to his play mates or his humans. Leonard is very friendly and loving. I suggest no small children in his new home because he does tend to play rough and gets a little mouthy at times. He would benefit greatly from going to obedience school with his new mom and /or dad. He will need someone who is dog savvy and active to keep him busy. I also suggest a home with at least one other dog that loves to play and rough house. Leonard is up to date on all shots and micro-chipped.
