Chihuahua - Hughie - Small - Adult - Male - Dog

　　Hughie is a very sweet, loving, very energetic Chihuahua. He is about 2 years old, weighs about 9 lbs and is neutered, microchipped and up to date with shots. He was rescued from Pima Animal Control at the end of January 2013. Hughie has made great progress with toileting in the past month, He will still at times ?leak? a little when excited and is picked up. He will let you know in the morning (usually quite early) that he needs to go out and is able to wait until foster mother gets home from work to go outside. He has pads available to him during the day and at night but does not use. Hughie lives with a big dog and another Chihuahua and gets along well with both. He loves to play them and would do much better in a home with other small dogs as he really likes company of at least one other little dog (he does not like to be alone). He is not usually noisy but will bark at appropriate times. If he lives with a large dog it would be important the dog is very tolerant as Hughie will climb on him/her and be very playful. This might be a little too much for some dogs. He does need a secure yard or constant supervision when outside as he is quite small and is able to get through really small spaces. He does dig a little and would learn to dig under a fence if left alone very long !
