Chert's story

　　Chert is a 3 year old lab/cattle dog mix, she is an energetic and playful girl who is smart as a whip! She loves to play tug and learn new tricks, but her all time favorite game is fetch. She will happily shop her toy or ball around to anyone who will give it a toss:) She has been extremely quick to learn new cues, picking up 'sit' and 'down' in a matter of minutes! This girl is a dog trainer's dream and would be perfect for a runner, flyball or agility. She enjoys long runs and hikes and is content to curl up with a bone or Kong when it's time to relax. Chert can be a little wary of new people but is quick to warm up with a few treats and a fetch. She loves to cuddle up and get belly rubs! She is not too interested in other dogs (they can't toss the ball for her!) so she's not the best fit for a pooch looking for a play mate. However, she is very appropriate when she tells other dogs that she is not interested, so she would do fine in a home with another dog who is content to give her her space.
