Cherrie's story

　　"Cherrie, baby!" I'm so beautiful songs could be written about me! My name is Cherrie, I'm a pure bred Golden girl who weighs 80 pounds. I'm about 3 and a half years old. I am spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and, happily, heart worm negative. I have a gorgeous light blonde coat and I'm usually adorable and sweet. I've been well trained too so I'm pretty much perfect except for one big character flaw - I never learned to share well. I don't like others to mess around with my food or toys so I need to be an only dog with no kids under 15. I guess I'm a little high strung with an ear infection and some skin allergies and that may be causing me to be protective of my food - sometimes when you're hurting you react rather than remembering the food dish usually arrives regularly. Besides taking care of my ear infection and my skin allergies, the vet has put me on 'calming' medication which should help me a lot! I've been told a dog savvy owner could teach me consistency and to associate people approaching my food bowl as a good thing. I know the "sit" command as well as others so I'm smart and able.
