Cheecha's story
Senior love here!! My name is Cheecha and Im 10 years young and sweet as they come.
I made it to the wonderful people at DLRR after my previous owner took me to the vet to be put to sleep because I was sick and they couldnt afford my medial care. After the good doctor evaluated me he determined I had a uterine infection and decided I still had too much life left in me to put me to sleep so he did the surgery to remove my uterus and got me on antibiotics. Thank goodness for him!! After the surgery, my previous owner decided he didnt want to pick me up from the good doctor so I ended up at Pima Animal Care before making it to Desert Lab and my foster parents home. My foster family thinks Im such a sweet and loving girl and that I am going to make a family very happy once they adopt me. Im house trained, dont chew, dont jump on people or counter surf, dont get on the furniture and just enjoy laying next to my foster family, playing with the tennis ball and getting loved on by my people. While I havent had an formal obedience training, I have learned how to sit, I love going for daily walks and do fairly well on the leash. I live with a wild and crazy 4 year old furry foster sister and while I love her company, I'm not really interested in playing with her. I am a little shy around new high energy or noisy dogs at first but relax easily after a little reassurance from my foster momma and I get used to them. I also have a 9 month old human foster brother who I love to lay next to and watch over while he plays with his toys. I will be great with kiddos of any age! I dont have any cats at my foster home but would probably be fine with them as well.
