Cheddar's story
DOB: 2/1/14
Cheddar is a diamond in the rough. After a tough first few years fending for himself on the street, this loveable guy was being cared for by a community of tenants in a building in Atwater Village. However, after getting into a scuffle with a neighbors dog, one of the tenants threatened to have Cheddar removed. Luckily, he was taken in by one of our volunteers who lived in the building
and what a difference that made! He was always very friendly while outside, but the second he was inside a home, Cheddar became a TOTAL lap cat and lovebug, purring up a storm and wanting to be pet! He loves to snuggle up in your lap and keep you company
and because he wants all the love to himself, hed be great as an only cat. Cheddar is FIV positive, but as a little research will tell you, this is totally no big deal, especially if hes the only cat in your home! The majority of cats with FIV live full, 15-20 year lifespans
all it means is that if he ever gets sick, its best to make sure he gets treatment sooner rather than later. This chubby guy is such a sweetheart, and all he wants is a safe, secure place to call home with someone who cares for him.
