My story
Checkers is a 2-year-old male Hound/Dalmatian mix who must be neutered before he is adopted. He came to PAHS as a stray from out in the county and his owner never came in to reclaim him. Checkers short coat is primarily white with black markings; he is one handsome guy! He weighs 55 pounds which means he is considered to be a medium sized adult dog. Checkers has the 'lean look' of a hound and he has the energy of a hound. He is quite active and would need a secure fenced yard where he could safely play. Checkers is friendly and sweet; he would be good in a family with children and other dogs. This great dog is ready to go home with a new family and the sooner the better. Please come out and meet Checkers--he is such a wonderful dog!Dogs may be adopted for $120. Cat adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
