Charlie's story

　　There are many, many Poodle and Bichon lovers in the dog world...they're considered to be two of the most desirable breeds available today.This is due to their consistently great temperaments and super- intelligence.There's also no question that they're strikingly beautiful with their stunning non-shedding coats (considered to be two of the most hypoallergenic breeds available today) and their soft, expressive eyes.

　　Charlie is an extremely cute and lovable Poodle mix. It's difficult to tell in this photo (due to his shaved coat because of matts) but once his hair grows out, Charlie will have the non-shedding and cottony-soft coat of his breed mix. Charlie also has the cutest underbite ever! He always looks like he's smiling..and his wonderful and very happy/positive personality speaks of his joy.

　　Charlie is about 3.5 years old (such a great age..past babyish behavior with many, many healthy years ahead) and just about 17 lbs...perfect size for hiking mountain trails as well as accompanying his family everywhere a smaller, well-behaved dog is welcome.

　　The Poodle and Bichon breeds are a solid combination both physically and in stability of temperament. It is for this reason that they seem to acclimate well to change and be outstanding family members. It's safe to say that Charlie has lived in happy harmony with both humans and dogs... and seems to be very comfortable with both.

　　We feel strongly that Charlie's forever family should have the motivation to continue his socialization and offer him the gift of positive reinforcement group obedience training classes. Through these clear boundaries and leadership by his humans, Charlie will emerge as a well-adjusted and very bonded companion. He's so gorgeous both inside and out and deserves a family that appreciates the gift of his temperament and is willing to show him boundaries through love and time spent.

　　We are searching for an active family...either retirees or a younger family with older, very gentle dog-loving kids. Another like-sized and fun doggie playmate and a fenced yard would be great for Charlie. He (like all dogs) is happier and therefore more well-behaved if he's fulfilled with exercise and fun... followed by snuggling with his favorite people. It would be a family that spend lots of time at home (or chooses to take a sweet dog with them to dog-friendly situations) that would provide a great forever home for Charlie. He would enjoy the time spent together and would blossom with a family that considers their dog a valued member of their family.

　　Charlie will be up to date on his vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out healthy and well-balanced puppies. We've requested that he be neutered prior to his transport to Colorado. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Charlie's neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used.
