Charlie's story

　　Meet Charlie a 3-year-old Beagle/Dachshund Mix. Please fully read Charlies story! Charlie has a heart of gold and wants to please. You will not be disappointed with this love bug. He gets along great with dogs, rabbits, and birds. He is kennel trained, leash trained and knows basic commands such as sit, down, stay, drop it, and off. He is housebroken too and will wait by the door to go out or he will come to you and paw and whine when he needs to go out. Charlie enjoys cuddling on the couch, going for walks or hikes and playing with other dogs or toys, which he carries around all day long with his tail wagging. He enjoys being outside too, but he requires a securely fenced yard.

　　Charlie does not get along with children, including teenagers. Somewhere in his past, he has been abused and the sight of young people frighten him. We have spent many months working on trying to help him overcome his fear with no success. He loves all adults though. He would be best suited for an active senior since he loves to go and explore.
