My story
Meet Charlie, a 10 pound, 6-year-old terrier mix looking for a forever home! Charlie is reported by his foster family as "one of the snuggliest dogs ever". They believe he would be an amazing dog for someone looking for a new best bud. Charlie has diabetes and requires two injections a day, but he takes them during mealtimes like a champ! His friends say he doesn't even flinch. Within a few days or getting to his foster home, Charlie became a true velcro dog, wanting to be on a lap or by someone's side at all times. Charlie does amazing in the crate at night or during the day (but is also fine to free roam). Charlie has also developed diabetic cataracts but has adjusted extremely well to his blindness and gets around perfectly in familiar places and even does well in new environments. Charlie likes walks and does well on leash but doesn't need a lot of exercise (he's a pretty low key guy). He does his business as soon as he gets outside, which is great for the morning rush or busy nights. Charlie is totally house trained and does well at home during long days at school (never had an accident and no destructive behaviors). Charlie does well with other dogs, but would probably prefer a home with calmer dogs as opposed to boisterous puppies. Cats are still pretty exciting but he may be able to adjust if given time. If you'd like to meet Charlie, call, email or stop by the shelter so we can get you connected with Charlie's foster family. ( x221 [email protected]
