Charles's story
Charles came into our program after being abandoned at the shelter when his owner passed away. Charles was grieving and so sad. The foster he went to shared this story: Please bear with me. I have a story to tell about this big ole boy Charles. A couple days ago, I was dealing with some sad news. I went into the cat room to feed Charles. He ate just a tiny bit then crawled into my lap. I leaned over him, wrapped my arms tightly around him, rocked back and forth...and cried my eyes out. Now the important part of this story is not me and my tears (Im fine). The important part is the ASTONISHING way he let me hug him so tightly...squeezing him like a big pillow. He responded with a low rumbling purr. We stayed like that for a very long time. He never struggled to get loose. He is an amazing cat. Charles may only be about seven years old - but I think hes a wise, patient, old soul. And Im baring my soul a bit, right here in public, because someone NEEDS this beautiful boy. Although charles was grieving, he wanted to help his foster feel better. Charles would do better as an only cat. He has not been around dogs. If you need a companion to love you unconditionally, Charles may be who you are looking for. He is fully vetted and healthy and is fostered in Madison, Alabama. If you are interested in Charles, please go to forrescue.net and fill out an application.
