My story
09/13/22 This sweetheart is Chara! Chara was surrendered to the shelter because she was trying to attack the cat in her prior home. Chara was said to have a very high prey drive so we are requiring that she goes to a home without cats, pocket pets, or livestock (chickens). Her prior owners stated that she is not fully housebroken so her new owners will need to continue working with her on that. As puppies do she is known to get into the trash, dig, and chew on things when unsupervised. She would be a great candidate for going to a basic obedience class! Chara was said to be submissive towards other dogs and has been shy with her doggy neighbors so far at the shelter. Please make sure to do slow, safe, and controlled introductions with other doggos. Shew as said to do okay with older children but not great with younger due to her puppy energy. We are requiring that she goes to a home without children under 12 years. She was said to be shy with strangers but warmed up immediately to her animal care staff! She loves attention! Chara was described by her prior family as a sweet pea and we would love to find her that new forever home! If you are interested in meeting Chara please give the shelter a call!September 17, 2022, 8:57 pm
