Chance's story

　　Chance is a very happy, sweet and smart 10 year young black male lab (or strong lab mix) who likes to play fetch and chew on bones and toys and is very easy to love. He is 57 lbs, house broken and working on becoming doggie door trained. He is interested in water but does not seem to have ever been in a pool. He was found as a stray but it is very apparent he was a house dog at some point and he greatly desires/longs for human interaction and affection.

　　He knows basic commands (sit, drop it, come), takes treats nicely, is respectful of other dogs and knows the difference between your toys and his toys. He needs a little leash work, as he walks in front of you rather than at your side and pulls a little. He is the typical lab who will do anything for food and follows you everywhere you go. He would easily convert to being a lap dog, as he wants to be as close to you as you let him but he will go to his doggie bed too when told to do so. He is an all-around good dog, that will make an easy transition into just about any low to moderate activity home as he is good with dogs and people (slightly hesitant at first but warms up quickly). When he came to us his nails were a mile long and he had lost some hair, likely due to allergies and stress. He is on meds for an eye and ear infection as well as for his coat which may require regular oatmeal baths and a low stress life!!
