Courtesy postingChamp is a 14-month-old male Aussie Shepherd/Red Heeler mix with a lot of energy. Champ has always been a cuddler with a constant motor running--meaning that he will crawl up in your lap at night but won't be able to stay there for long. He loves to play ball with his squeaky toys and enjoys "herding" a big indestructable blue ball out in our backyard. He's learning to play well with other dogs. He was house-trained at 3 months old and is a very smart dog! Champ knows several commands and follows them: sit, down, off, stay, watch-me, come, shake, heel. And he's working hard on leave-it. We have gone through the beginning set of lessons at Petsmart and then the current training with the Dog Complex. He has been boarded and attended Doggie Day Camps at a couple of different places.Most of all, Champ loves being around his family and playing with us. Champ is an adorable dog but he does need a family who will be firm with him, give him lots of exercise, and be willing to train him a little more.Champ has no medical problems but if he is given rawhides, he will have digestive and bowel issues.
