CeCe's story
CeCe is actually the MCAC West shelter's third longest longtimer, with an intake date of June 13th. A lot of times I say I don't understand why a dog hasn't been adopted yet, but with CeCe... I do get it. This poor lady is SO shy, it's hard for adopters to notice her! :-(
It doesn't seem that CeCe has known much love in the past three years of her life. It's clear she's had a few litters, she is scared of new environments, and she trembles when you pet her. CeCe is one of the very few dogs that actually WANTS to go back to her kennel. :-/
Despite CeCe's nervousness, she does allow handling. She will let you pet her gently as long as she knows you're there, and leash her up/walk with a little patience. She loves treats and chew bones, so this definitely helps to warm her up! CeCe was nervous with the other dogs during group, but co-existed fine. A dog in her new home could potentially be a good thing to help show her a new way to be. Bring your dog in for an intro.
I don't have a ton of cute things to say about CeCe, or silly photos in a tutu. This is CeCe right now- she's scared, she's shy, she's a longtimer... and she needs you! You can visit 3 yr old CeCe at the MCAC West shelter at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. CeCe's $25 adoption fee includes spay, rabies certificate and County license.
