CAZ's story

　　Caz was surrendered to the shelter because he has a hard time dealing with stress and change within his environment and will begin urinating outside of his box in response to his anxiety. Caz was owned for the last 6 months and has done well using his litterbox until his family began remodeling their house. Caz is affectionate, gentle when playing, and rides will in the car. He enjoys scratching on cat posts or cat trees. Caz is said to love children and babies, but can be fearful of strangers coming into the house. Caz gets along with dogs, but will beat up other cats. Because Caz's failure to use his litterbox was related to noise, changes, and hubbub in the home, we suggest Caz go to an extremely quiet home with an older, more mature family. If Caz's new family anticipates any unusual activity in the home that may disturb Caz, such as having construction done or having company over, for example, it may be a good idea to restrict Caz to a single room while the activity is ongoing to help ensure he uses his box (and is comfortable eating and drinking).
