My story
The owners has small children who terrorized the dogs and realized they had to find a rescue (instead of teaching the children) to take the dogs away, as they were simply in over their head. We are saying NO CHILDREN under age 12 and the older children MUST be respectful of a small dog's space and have to have been raised around small dogs. No dogs over 20 lbs at all please.A securely fenced yard with close supervision while outside or leash walking (preferred). They would do fine in an apartment, as long as they got taken outside and not left in a crate all day long.I say THEY but they do NOT have to be adopted together as they are not bonded at all.Cassie is the mom and Chico is her son.Cassie is friendly with those she meets but does NOT like having her face messed with and tries to run away, according to the vet.Cassie had to have entroption surgery on her right eye while being spayed. (eye lashes turned in toward the eye)But she will heal up from that and is wearing a cone to not scratch at the stitches. They both are apparently chugs, a blend of chihuahua and pug 13-15 lbs. They are both FULLY vetted and ready to go to a perfectly FOREVER COMMITTED home.Apply online at madisonarf.org if you have read the profile and meet the requirements. Please do not apply if you do not. Thank you.Cassie's Adoption Fee is $350
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cassie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
