Cashay's story
If you're looking for a "Netflix and Chill" type of companion... this is your girl!!
Cashay is a 7 year old Chihuahua that loves to go for walks and then cuddle on the couch to warm up...the more blankets the better! And don't forget the snacks!
Cashay came to Heath's Haven in November 2018 after she had a spinal injury and was not able to walk. We took her to the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital for an MRI, and she was diagnosed with a spinal fluid hemorrhage in her spinal cord, but surgery was not an option. After starting a strict rehabilitation program at the hospital, she regained the use of her hind legs...and she's fast!
The spinal cord hemorrhage left Cashay incontinent, and she does not know when she has to go potty so she needs her bladder expressed three times a day. Don't worry! It's really easy to do and she doesn't mind at all!
Cashay is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines. She does well with other dogs and is curious about cats. Due to her size and history of spinal injury, Cashay would be best in a home without small children.
If you are interested in adopting Cashay, please fill out an application on our website. Heath's Haven will adopt out of state as long as a home visit and transport can be arranged.
