My story
Carmy is a sweet young girl who is past her puppy stage, but still loves to play, go on walks, and is eager to learn new tricks. While it's hard to know if a dog is housebroken in a shelter environment, Carmy seems to do very well with using the bathroom outside. Carmy has a big dog buddy who has cats and another large dog who is lower energy. She does fine with all, though sometimes does need "gentle reminders from the cats that they aren't interested in being her friend.
Carmy will gently jump when she's excited, though this is typical for dogs who have been in the shelter environment. A simple correction is all she needs and she should be great with kids and adults of all ages.
As her big dog buddy, I believe she'd do best in a home where she has a fenced in yard where she can play with another dog or play fetch with her people. A home without a fence is absolutely fine, but it would be great if they are willing to take her on walks or will let her play fetch inside (she loves fetch if you haven't picked up on that). Carmy just loves to be active and while I think she'd do okay in most any home, she will be happiest in a home where she doesn't have to be a couch potato.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Carmy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
