Carin's story
OM MY Goodness can that face and those jowls get any cuter to melt your heart? Carin has had her fair share of puppies it appears and now she is ready to be spayed and get some TLC. She has multiple areas of hair-loss on her body that appear to be scars (poor baby, we have no idea how she got them.) She was picked up as a stray and no one claimed her from the shelter. She has low heartworm disease therefore they do not put them on their adoption floor --- so she became available for rescue and EAPL was very happy to rescue her. Her tail was wagging when they led her out of the shelter to her temp foster home waiting for transport to EAPL. Put in an application today.
Carin is heartworm positive BUT don't let that stop you from being interested in this girl as your forever girl. EAPL will cover all the vet care for her heartworm treatment. You just need to provide the TLC for just 60 +/- days and then she will be on her way to being a normal Colorado active dog! Once the heartworms are cleared then she is good to go. Put in an application and one of our volunteers can talk to you about heartworm and the process.
