My story
Caramel Cat came to us as a stray so little is known about her. She has been a very pleasant kitty to her animal tenders, but much like most torties she does have a wee bit of `tortitude` and may prefer to go to a home with only older children, if any, as she will not appreciate kiddos who tug on her tail and fur. Caramel Cat was badly matted when she came to the shelter and it was determined that she had an infection of her genitals, caused in part by her excess weight that makes it very hard for her to clean herself and promotes bacteria in her vulvar folds. Caramel Cat's new owner will need to put her on a weight loss diet and make sure that she loses weight, or this problem is likely to reoccur. It may also be a good idea to take Caramel Cat to a groomer or veterinarian for occasional shaving of her behind to help her stay tidy. The rest of her fur will need to be brushed out regularly to maintain good skin health and prevent mats from forming. Caramel Cat is a sweet girl that deserves the best.
