Cappy's story
DOB: 3/1/2003
Look at that sweet tough guy face!
I call him Cappy since he seems like he is 'the captain in charge'. Although Cappy has had a rough & tumble life, you would never know it from his personality. He is just a big, loving, extremely easy going kitty. (He would make a great couch potato companion.)
After an exhausting evening of watching TV, this handsome orange and white fellow will head butt you and then sleep quietly at the foot of the bed. He loves to have his fur brushed and will roll over to show you his pure joy (and his cute tummy!). Cappy is a low maintenance type of kitty - not one of those hyper youngsters! He is an adult cat but has many, many years to give companionship and love to some lucky person.
He does like to be 'king of the castle' so he can be an only kitty or could go to a home with a non-alpha, gentle resident kitty. He is dog-friendly.
Cappy is a special kitty - he has FIV, which is not a big deal. Given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will have the same lifespan as any other indoor cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact, typically from a deep puncture wound. It cannot be transmitted to humans. Click here to read an excellent article about FIV.
Cappy has spent too many years looking for a loving home. If you can offer this sweet deserving kitty some love and attention, please email his foster Mom.
