Canyon (AL)'s story

　　Canyon is a healthy, confident, mature 10-year-old purebred Rat Terrier weighing about 24 lbs. He is excellent in the home, does not chew things, and is completely house-trained. He will scratch the door to signal when he needs to go outside. He loves the outdoors and is a true Rat Terrier that likes to sniff everything and chase those pesky squirrels. He loves to play tug-o-war! Also like a rattie, he is happy to lounge around the house as long as he gets daily walks or exercise in a fenced yard. He does pull on the leash and could use a bit more training for that. Canyon is friendly and outgoing to everyone he meets. He is great with dogs of all sizes and even gets along with cats. He is a sweet and happy boy whose only fear is thunderstorms. Though he would be an easy fit into almost any family, Canyon would prefer a home where he could be around his people most of the time.
