Overall Condition = Very NiceLight Meter = Tested and Accurate, Schottky Diode mod Shutter = CLA'd and AccurateLens = Clean (No Fungus, Separation, Haze or Major Scratches)Light Seals = ReplacedRangefinder = Clean and ClearIncludes = New Battery and Adapter plus a Canon brand Lens CapThis is a Canon Canonet QL17 G-III in very good condition with no major dents or scratches. The light meter works and is accurate, the battery check lite also functions as it should. This camera has been modified to work with modern silver oxide batteries instead of the original mercury cells. Once the diode is soldered in, the meter is then checked against my Pentax Digital Spotmeter and adjusted to be within Canon spec. The shutter is accurate at all speeds and the self timer works as intended. The range finder is clear and aligned. The light seals are brand new. The lens is in good condition with no fungus or major scratches. Included with the camera is a brand new Renata 357 Silver Oxide battery and an adapter so the smaller battery fits in the camera. If you have any questions or you would like a close up photo of a specific part, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, don't be afraid to make an offer. The battery mod is done by soldering a BAT43 Schottky Diode into the lead from the battery compartment. This is necessary because the modern battery outputs 1.55v while the mercury cell puts out a steady 1.35v. The diode lowers the voltage and gets the silver cell as close as possible to the mercury cell. You must use a 357 Silver Oxide battery with this camera because of this mod. If you choose to use an Alkaline battery the discharge curve will make the meter readings off by at least 1 stop. If you are interested in a very good explanation of the different battery types and how they relate to cameras and light meters, just do a google search for "The mercury cell problem and its solutions" you will find the first few results all give you the same pdf. There is some good information in it and I found it very useful when doing this mod.
