CANDY's story

　　03/07/19 Candy came to the shelter because her owner had too many sled dogs and could not take care of them anymore. She has experience mushing and running as part of a team for long distances (10-15+ miles). She came to us underweight and although she should be lean, she needs to gain 5-10 pounds. She is an energetic sled dog girl and has experience only living outside. She is not housetrained and does not have indoor dog training for basic obedience. She would love to run on a large team with you and possibly on a skijor team that travels long distances. She has a unique personality and a goofy demeanor. Candy came in with 5 other dogs she is used to running with & related to so if you are looking for more than one dog to join your team, please ask the front desk about other dogs she is familiar with.
